Question by : The owner of a beauty shop, opens a beauty school then distributes beauty products, is that market penetration?
i need to know if this is market penetration? a beauty shop owner openes up a beauty school then gets into the distribution of beauty products. so she kindda has three different businesses to just about the same market.

How do a person make money to live off as well as paying their bills for the shop and keeping a roof over their head. Im going to school now for business admin. and want to go to beauty school. I want to open a salon in NC.

it’s a service type of business so the only thing u keep up is the equipment and utilities.. all else is just good service and talent.

u must consider the capital requirement though, equipment will cost u money.. marketing and salary.

i’d say to get the experience first, learn from the pros, you can start by getting some free-lance stuff.. then open a small shop where u can build some clientele then move to wherever if u do good..

u can also combine retail with a salon, selling shampoos or doing some off-salon jobs like weddings
