For almost ten years i hve wanted to go to beauty school but never had. So now i am really serious, but i would love to know what you do..like a day by day account…And what i can expect. Also i plan on asking them, but if my hubbs makes over 100k am i gonnna get any financial aid.??? How long does it take, what hours do you usually attend. Everything..thanks !!

after recieving my highschool deploma i plan to go to a cosmetology/beauty school. it is my passion! i have a few questions. hint- i live in miami,florida

1. is a cosmetology school a college? or is is a part time education? i want to go to college so would i have to go to college and afterschool arrive at the beauty school or just in the morning go to beauty school as if it was a normal school like college.

2.what courses are helpfull to be more prepared for cosmetoloy. i know ill learn about the science of beauty like first aid kit,electricity,deseases and more. so do i take up anatomyin highschool or anything else? and what grade would be best?

3. PLEASE ANSER THIS- I dont have alot of makeup,basicly all i have is alot of lipgloss,4 or 5 eyeshadow colors,liquid foundation,and cream concealer. when i apply to a beauty school will they give me the supplies and do i get to keep them or are they lending it to me? so would when i start my career as a makeup artist would i need to have all the makeup or do they give me part of the makeup im supposed to have?

4. do they teach you more about hair and nails than makeup because i want to be a makeup artist like michelle phan not a hairstylist.

5. when you apply to a beauty school i know you dont go by years,you go by hourse so what does that exctly mean? so would i take like 8 hourse each day or ten?

6. since its a career i know i have to pay but if you get really good do they give you a job or maybe take you traveling to do makeup anywhere?

7. how much do you have to pay or does that depend on the school you apply to?

im planning to attend regency beauty institute, and i would like to know if anyone know how financial aid is payed out to the school, i know how they do it at a 2 year college and university but since beauty school is based on hours how do they pay it out. for instance if i started today and went until sept do they only pay for the time i went to the school or the financial aid is payed at one time once school starts? please be specific, i plan on starting in july and i am scheduled to have a procedure done which wont allow me to walk for 6-8 weeks, i want to at least get my foot in the door so i can have some hours in already
im not looking for scholarships i want to know how do the goverment pay the school for the hour we used thank you if you dont know then dont answer thank you

I want to attend beauty school like Empire. I was wondering if anyone out there knew if I could have this covered by the government. I am 31, mother of 3 who has a gross yearly income of 56,000 with my husbands salary. Any links for information would be helpful. Thanks

ok so im starting beauty school next month in june, so financial aid will be for the 2010-2011 school year, the local university starts school august 30, 2010. i wanted know if i go to school until august and drop out will i be able to attend a regulat university and have financial aid there? the beauty school im going to tution is ,000 and none of financial aid will cover the tution fully so i want to go to get some hours in and then go to the regular university and go there and then i will have a refund check enough to pay for a cheaper beauty school to go to?
please give me intelligent answers.
